I am about to take my training to the next level, I’ll be going 5 times a week and my body is going to need fuel.
I’m a habitual under eater (unless I’m hungover) and my amazing PT has just told me I need to eat more. My worst nightmare but Im going to give it a go.
As someone who has had body dysmorphia and eating disorders her whole life it feels like one of most scary things I’ve taken on in my ‘Pushing my boundaries’ era. Which seems crazy because you’d think learning to walk, swim and box would be up there but I think handing over the control over what I eat is going to be the hardest.
But…I want a 4 pack, not that I’m vain! But I need the muscle and strength to get me walking better again. Learning how the body actually works to build muscle and how chronic under eating can hinder the whole process has been enlightening. It can actually make your body hang on to fat and burn the muscle! So get out and eat all the lovely food, eat the burger, have the glass of wine and don’t be hard on yourself. And what ever you do, if you see me out, do not tell me Ive put on weight! Because actually that is my worst nightmare!
