Last Life in berlin – the documentary

For the last 9 years I’ve been making a documentary about my journey, my suicide attempt and my recovery.

There have been highs and lows to my story of over coming a stroke and being able to live as a blind disabled person.

I can tell you right now its been a hard road. The first director made a mess of it all wasting money and not paying taxes. After 3 years he encouraged my to meet up with the girl who had left me to die to tell her that I forgave her (which I didn’t do!) all in the name of getting a good scene on camera – and that’s not half the drama. But hey documentaries take time.

We are nearly done filming thanks to a new director and team around me who have been amazing!

I can’t wait for you all to see it. 6 episodes and a short film! Should all be out there by 2028, fingers crossed.

The founder of Fight Tales. Crazy by definition before and after she died (It’s a long term personality trait). Christy is addicted to vintage far out clothes and music, from Leonard Cohen to Iggy Pop. Always looking forward to wine o’clock hanging out with friends and trying not to act her age. Living life to the full after very nearly loosing hers!

Life Death And Sweet Potato

I was told I wouldn’t make it. That I’d never walk, never see, never rebuild my life. They were wrong.

This book is my story—the raw, unfiltered truth of surviving trauma, fighting for a second chance, and proving that no matter how far you fall, you can rise again.

If you’ve ever struggled, if you’ve ever been told you can’t, this is for you.
