My family and I are always researching innovative treatments with the aim of getting my sight back, the funny thing is that my sight could come back at any time. My eyes are in working order its the connection in the brain that’s faulty. There have been a few times when I have actually seen a glimpse but it hasn’t registered in my brain until later. Keeping this in mind my Dad and I are always motivated to look for any new ways we can find to heal that connection, after 3 lots of stem cells and soon to be 4, looking for other options has been on the cards for a while.
Recently we discovered the Neurolink, currently under trail. It’s all a bit sci fi but it bypasses the eye to brain connection and uses a video camera to transmit life wirelessly into a chip implanted into the brain. Mind blown! Ive just signed up to the patient registry to be considered for one of the trails, aaaahhhh! Science is so fucking cool! One down side Is that the whole thing is Elon Musk and Im not sure I want him in control of my brain?!
